Hello, If you are brand new in real estate and can’t quite figure out how to begin making money, I’m here to give you a few tips on how I got started making money right away in the business.

Rentals are a great way to begin making money with little money, knowledge, or experience.

• Ask the agents In your office or check the office inventory to see what may be available in rentals in the areas of your choice, then ask if it is okay for you to market them.
• Open up some kind of marketing platform to begin marketing these apartments, $50.00 on a marketing platform will go a long way, and will begin getting you the clients you need to get these apartments rented.

I recommend facebook marketplace, trulia, hotpads, street easy, craigslist, and rentlinx. These are all great marketing platforms to get you started.

• Choose apartments that have good prices and take good quality photos of them to assure that you are putting out good ads
• Pre-qualify all leads to make sure that they are qualified for the apartments they are contacting you in regards to
• Check all inventory for Possible availability for your existing leads and schedule your client to go see no more the 3–4 apartments
• Once the client has liked an apartment and is ready to apply collect a deposit which becomes non refundable once approved, to assure your time is not being wasted if they are serious they will pay!
• Put together a neat application with all required Docs and submit to either landlord or listing agent. You should move quickly as apartments in NY rent out rather quickly
• Follow up to make sure your application has been received
• Prepare your Client for Landlord interview and make sure they have all funds available for the day of lease signing
• Sign Lease and Get paid
